Designguide.com sent me a statistics report claiming that 394 times users on their site clicked on a link that redirected those users to my website. When I looked at my Google Analytics to verify those results, I showed 1 referral during that time frame. I then had several of my friends go to designguide.com and click the link to my website while I was monitoring my Google Analytics live. All of my friends were captured by Analytics, proving that designguide.com basically made up statistics to keep me satisfied with the service. In addition to the money paid to them, I spent many hours creating content and supplying it to them to make my profile.
