Bahr El Jebel was paid $8616 for a tour of South Sudan and a 5-day gorilla trek in Uganda. When I arrived in Uganda, I found that the Ugandan provider had not been paid. In addition, Bahr El Jebel sent me an email that told me the South Sudan trip was canceled due to terrorism and tribal warfare and that the trip would be rescheduled. Thomas Bank, BEJ's representative, spoke to me several times while I was in Uganda and promised he would wire the Uganda funds as well as give me partial refund of the South Sudan portion.
No money was ever sent, including the money for Uganda, and I had to pay for and arrange another tour.

- I find myself in a similar situation to Martha as I too made the mistake of paying money to this disreputable company based out of Sonora Mexico. My safari was cancelled or rescheduled on several occasions over the past 2 years due to flooding and rebel activity and now that travel is no longer possible for the foreseeable future in Sth Sudan, Thomas has refused to refund my money. Do not under any circumstances use this company!!!
