Received text stating I won $1000 BestBuy Gift Card. Foolishly believing BestBuy to be reputable, I proceeded to the website = SCAM! After declining your email address to be sent to numerous other sites, an attempt will also be made to install their toolbar for who knows what.
In my opinion, this complaint should remain intact simply to inform others of deception; therefore, though no damage was done I chose the value the company itself had relinquished.
If these companies would be forced to uphold there promise of awards, then these deceptions would diminish. There also seems to be a matter of false advertising - just as any sales item. "Won" not "If" "Won" denotes no further action.
Despite my claim, I most certainly do not expect the complaint to be resolved. This claim is merely intended to inform others.
